I prefer wax to sealer/glaze but ask Rich189...I know he uses sealer on his TA. I like Meguiars NXT wax for my cars.

Paul I use wolfgang concours on my car and most of the higher end cars I do... its a hybrid wax/sealant but its a bit pricy but it compares with the higher end swissvax and zymol offerings for less than 1/2 the price.
The 2 best regular sealants IMO are blackfire wet diamond and wolfgang DGPS. The blackfire is great by itself and awsome when topped with a carnuba and the wolfgang is probably slightly better stand alone.
Then you got perm. paint coatings... like c quartz and opti-coat which is a whole different game

Rich,
How does the Wolfgang stuff last.....how long? I'm looking for some good stuff to keep on my Cadillac as well as possibly the Tbird. Since the Caddy is black I feel like I'm always waxing it to fill any small swirls haha.

I thought sealant was good up to 6 months which is why I'm interested in it verses wax. It looks like im gonna try wet diamond. Rich what are you using for road tar? It's not really tar and more of hardened sand/concrete but won't come off with regular washing..

Be very careful if it's actually hardened sand...you can easily rub it into your paint and scratch it. I don't know about Rich but for tar I tend to use WD-40.

I got it off with a clay bar. I'm having mixed emotions about meguires 105 and 205 I thought I would be able t remove more imperfections but after topping my work with a coat of wax it still looks very nice until you are on top of it. Ill try to get pics tomorrow when I finish the rest of the car.

4-6 monthes dependind on conditions... black diamond is about the same even a bit longer if coated with a carnuba. I do notice that carnubas hide a bit more then sealants though. Which is why sometimes I like a sealant as it shows off the work that went into it.
For tar and bugs lately I've been using carpro Tar-X for the really hard stuff and diamondite waterless bug and tar eraser for lighter stuff.
What are you using to buff the paint wayfast? M105-205 was originally made for rotaries only. I know they reformulated them to be used on DA's but they are still a pain in the ass to use correctly with a DA (and hopefully your using at least a porter cable preferably a GG or flex) . You have to really take your time with them to make sure they are completely broken down and sometimes do 2-3 slow passes with 105 to get the results of doing 1 regular pass with a rotary.

I'm using a yellow and Orange pad with a porter cable polisher. The meguires was suggested on ls1tech, and sure does dust up very quick. Hopefully someday ill be able to get a rotary and start practicing because this stuff is fun and it feels great driving a 6 year old car that looks better then new.
