Need Something Welded in Bergen County...
Hey guys,
My parents bought my daughter a trampoline for her birthday, and when I went to assemble it, I discovered that part of the galvanized tube for the frame was split - no idea how it got out of QC at that factory, but whatever. It looks like they got a little happy with the grinder at the seam and went back to open metal. Anyway, I'm worried it'll take water in, or eventually collapse at that point since it's not finished and it's right between two points where the springs will anchor on.
So, can someone in Bergen County weld this thing for me? I can bring it to you any time since I'm done with work until September. If you need, I can text you a pic of the piece or post it up here as well so you get an idea of what needs to be done.
Please post or PM ASAP. Thanks!!!

Figured I'd post a pic so anyone could see what I was talking about -
This is almost real size - I believe the pipe is between 2"-3" diameter.

Yeah, I'm not sure either, that's why I figured I'd mention it. If you find out if he can do the galvanized stuff (or if there's any difference) let me know.

Why not bring it back to the store and exchange it for another one?

Yes, it is. The steel is coated with zinc.
It will probably weld fine but I would assume that the fumes are pretty dangerous.

try bogart welding in dumont. it's not a shop, he has a big truck and makes house calls. His name is Lenny and he was very good family friends with my ex's family. I had him do a trailer hitch for me about a year ago. Not sure if he'd still remember me now haha. phone number is 385 1333, and his wife will prob answer.

It will weld fine. The white floaters are a pain and the fumes can make you feel sick, like you have the flu.

Visit my buddy Paul at Transportation Repairs & Refinishing Inc.
267 Green St. in Hackensack
He'll do it for cheap. Probably $20 he said.
Say Chris Eagen referred you

Thanx all! In the end, I wound up getting it done by a friend of mine. He built the crossmember for my old Monte and does excellent work, but I haven't seen him around in ages. Turns out he moved, but I was able to get a hold of him, and he did it for nuttin'.
