Says right in the ad that 1 bracket and the lower pulley are missing.
plus, id stay away from the belt drive powerdyne units. They correct the issues they had when they finally went to a gear drive in the later units.

Powerdyne are not as efficient as others but they are still a good blower. New a girl with one on a V6 firebird and her car went 11.8@117mph. They were big in the V6 F-body world years ago. You could take a car that runs 15.2@93 and slap that blower on it and run a High 13@ 105 on 6-8psi for hald the price of a Procharger/vortech

Used supercharger off ebay, missing parts, and install destined for a stock LT1.
Google it before you make thread, eh? You would be much better off buying a quality torque converter and working on suspension, then rear end and transmission.

Let's just say my brother had a Vortech on a LT1... he is very brutal with how he treats things. Untuned on 8 PSI (all necessary upgrades though with timing retarded) it was burning so much oil it would blow the oil filler neck off the head within the first week.

I believe they are all saying to do it right. No one is making generalizations about all the lt1's ever built.
How many miles are on your car/engine

He stated for a guy who is rough on things and who doesn't get his car tuned properly. That's not doing it right, like Mike said.

You have to pay to play.. Doing any aftermarket part there is a chance you will break something. Thats just the fact.
I wasnt saying the Powerdyn is only for a V6 just saying that on the 3.8's they worked well for the price you pay for them. If they worked well on a V6 I would assume that it will work well on a V8.. A vortech/Procharger/Paxton is the way to go for a blower but a Powerdyn is a cheaper less efficient option as well.

Take the supercharger option and throw it out of your head. Its a lousy way to go. Doing it "right" and spending the money for it all to be safe, may net you 400hp. And if you are like any other sane person soon you will want to bump it up, and meanwhile even at low boost the stock LT1 is on borrowed time. Quote who you want to and dig up what you want, but any boost will not be good on an LT1. CR is high and its got brittle pistons, bad combo.
Throw money at the rear end or transmission as I said before.

A supercharger is not a bad idea if you have the supporting mods and you plan for a tune. If you run a conservitive amount of preasure the LT1 will survive if well maintained

The LT responds OK I would say to mods. but remember what we are comparing it to. LS1 is super responsive to every mod...TPI is unresponsive to every mod (lol) So your in the middle. If you came accross a GOOD supercharger for it and ran like 5PSI you would be fine

This.
I would not go through all the trouble and expense to put a supercharger on a 10.25:1 compression stock LT1 and run 5-7psi. That to me is a total waste of money.
You would be far better served addressing some of the current deficiencies of the car such as the transmission/torque converter, rear axle, suspension, etc first and then think about making power. There's a reason why most guys follow the same modification path.

I did a 3200 stall in my 95 LT1 and that being the only mod went 13.4@101 mph. It was really good at the track but just driving I wish I would have done a supercharger or N20 because my LS1 stock trapped 107mph and with bolt ons trapped 110mph.I was satisfied with the car having just a couple mods and making 340rwhp which is close to 400 crank Hp for 6 yrs. For me a person who runs there car @ the track maybe 2 times a year I really dont care about E.T. I like the MPH. My LS1 ran a 13.5@107 stock and my LT1 went 13.4@101 but just driving around my LS1 was more fun and had a lot better throttle response and is the reason why I got rid of the LT1 and picked up another LS1. If I would have seen that blower for a LT1 say 3 yrs ago I would have picked it up and done that instead of a stall and probably would still have the car.
I heard the whole do it right speech and you get what you pay for speech over and over. I got a Revmax 3200 stall for my car for under 300 bucks. The car before the stall went 13.7@100 and after the stall went 13.4@101. That was the only differance between the runs. I picked up 3 tenths and a 1mph while cutting around the same 1.993 60' on street tires. It was a blast but on the street the car just felt slow still. I went the cheap route with a pretty much unknown company at the time and now they are a Sponsor on LS1tech selling 100's of stalls to the f-body community.
If I could do it again and found a deal like you have on a blower then my car would be trapping 105mph or higher and the car would have pulled a lot more. Nothing like having that Supercharger whine under the hood!
In the end its you choice. You can take a risk and try the 600.00 blower and it could get you to your goal without spending that much or it might not or you can spend the 5000-6000 and "Do It Right" approach and make your goal as well.
Fact is both the LT1 and the LS1 are becoming outdated which each passing year. I have a 383 LS1 making 500 crank HP and I still cant trap what a bone stock LS3 Vette traps in the 1/4. I know my car is 400lbs heavier then a C6 but still my car is making around 440rwhp and the LS3 is making 436 crank hp. I am really thinking of doing a LS3/LS7 swap in my car next. You get all the power and none of the drivability issues.. There was a LS7 02SS camaro @ GM Nats and he had bolt ons and a small cam ( for a 7.0) and he made 540 rwhp!
If everything checks out with that Powerdyne you will get at least and extra 40-50hp gain for under 1000.00.. Is that worth it to you?
