Put a real cat on, not a gutted one, and the Loudmouth will sound amazing. Loved my LM exhaust.. I had Headers and a catted y-pipe. Once you get rid of the Cats is when it sounds like crap!!

The slower your car is, the louder you want it to be.

A Loudmouth without a cat and with headers is very loud. If I can find a video of my car when we first got it running with the new motor it was insane. Before with my headers and a catted y-pipe the lm was very nice and tame @ idle and screemed @ WOT..

Love my slp dual dual. Quite at idle and cruise, no drone but loud when you get on it. Great tone too. I would rather have a quiet car that sounds good than a loud car that sounds like ass. Jeff's lm1 was so loud when the new motor was put in he didn't even want to drive the car.

Its funny, it seems the guys with the almighty LS1's say it sounds geat and I'm a puss but the inferior lt1 owners generally agree its too loud.
I took it for a spin and it actually wasnt as bad as I thought but still sucks. Not the sound I was looking for. I'll keep it on until the Island meet and see how much it will shave off my time and then hack it off. Im guessing just for the hell of it 2/10's of a second.

I had mids/cat/loudmouth and it was loud but it was a pretty sweet sound I have since gone magnaflow catback with a cutout. Sometimes its good to be quiet.

Had lt's ory and loudmouth and it was HORRIBLE. Not just loud, but it was just an awful sounding exhaust. I put a hooker catback on it and it sounds like a car again instead of an outboard motor.

The worst part is actually idle. At a cruise and all that, it sounds pretty good. It's actually growing on me now so. I think I was just shocked how loud it was when I did initial startup.

I have a cammed LM2 with headers and gutted cats... i can show you loud lol. Just leave the LM1 on there, you'll get used to it.
I couldn't imagine a LM1 on my car... but cold starts are always the loudest for the cars, after they warm up it quiets down a bit.
