Don't worry about rust on things like the exhaust and the rear cover. Look at the floor and bottom of the body. I does look like you might be in for some exhaust work soon. You're missing a ton of vacuum lines. I'd start there. I left you a link on a diagram for the vacuum lines in a earlier post today. http://i37.tinypic.com/35koa5e.jpg It looks like you're missing something that was mounted near the alternator bracket. Maybe someone else can chime in?

It's not awful, but you may need to do a little floor pan work and repairs to that wheel well.

Invest in a set of good jack stands and a good floor jack as your probably will going to be doing a lot of work under the car. Make sure that you only jack the car at the proper jack points (not on the pinch welds). Make sure the car is always on a firm and level surface. If you going to be under the car please think safe. Go after the rust a little area at a time. Get yourself a wire brush and/or a wire wheel for a drill or grinder. Scrub the heave rust off the car and spray the bare metal with an etch primer. The rust that you can't remove paint over with a product that converts rust into primer. http://www.grainger.com/product/2PE1...150407133233:s To be honest it doesn't really convert the rust into primer more that it just seals it and prevents it from getting worse. With any luck you wont have any holes to patch. Always remember Safety, Safety, Safety when jacking the car and support the car with jack stands when you're under it. The last thing anyone want to hear is that the car fell on top of you.

HELP!!

Before I can work on rust or anything else. I really need to find someone who can help me out and knows a little bit more about the engine then me. Since I can tell the engine is missing some parts and some vacuum lines are missing and I don't know what things I will need and where they go. Since I bought the car in that way and looking at a repair book doesn't help. I need the car to be able to drive with out issues. Since I have to move once in a while. Since someone is renting my garage right now.

Right now I might keep 305 engine in it since it runs but needs a few little things. Then once I start working again and save up some money. Then I will look into a engine. but while I'm saving I can work on rust and other little things. But it's killing me look at her and wishing I had the money to fix her up right now.

Welcome to the club!

For more help with your engine, please post up a thread here, in the Tech Forums. There will be more people looking to help you in that section, and we can help get you back on the road faster!
