94 z28 engine swap, build up

Really starting to make some progress on this swap/mild build, been a little while taking my time trying to do everything right seeing as this is my first build and its almost getting to be that time to put it back in....few more odds and ends still coming in but so far heres what it is

Started as 94 lt1 short block
Ported impala ss iron heads
918 beehives
Lt4 hotcam
Cc chromoly pushrods
Melling lifters
Cc 1.6 magnum sa rockers
Vented opti conversion
New melling oil pump with gm white spring installed
ARP hardware
All new seals and gaskets all around

That should make some good power. What made you decide on porting Impala heads instead of the stock heads from your car?

I actually got the heads already ported from pampered-z so that made my decision a little easier

Thinner and while still being an OEM gasket quality. Bumps SCR a tad.
