never ending rebuild

Now that my motor is finished and running of course i would have tranny issues. 3rd and 4th gear are now basically non-existent so looking for either a decent 4l60e to buy or info on places that will rebuild and have a great reputation without being raped on prices.

Performabuilt is right over in PA, but if you are looking for a decent price, shoot sweetbmxrider a PM. He has a pretty mildly used built 60e from PB that he is selling, pretty sure it would come with a converter as well if you needed something performance minded.

I actually just went about rebuilding my 4l60e because of a burnt 34 clutch pack. If you feel up to it, it's really not that bad. Overall, I'd say I had close to 80 hours into the build, but I was really taking my time and had to retrace my steps a few times. I built my trans to be between a level 1 and 2 performabuilt unit(It cost just around $700 total including fluids) Also, trutechtrans.com and transmissionpartsusa.com are great sources for parts. There is also a video series that I followed to do my build, it is very detailed and it was basically the only thing I followed for my rebuild. The video series is here:http://www.transmissionbench.com/4L60Evideos.html

My build thread is here: http://ls1tech.com/forums/automatic-...ld-thread.html

I'm sure Adam will give you a great deal on the trans, but you may decide to rebuild the one you blew up.
