Really sorry to hear that, Ted. I know this is cliche, but thankfully everyone is safe & the material **** eventually works itself out. I hope this streak of bad luck turns around soon. Keep us updated.

as much as you may not want to hear this, but cars are replaceable/fixable. Human lives are not. Thankfully your mom is ok.
Did they find out what caused it?
From the pics the car looks fixable, unless it has a ton of water damage.

it got wet but not as bad as it could have been, motor turns over but does not run, battery is also melted so it does not have enough juice even with a jump from the truck,
it was just painted was getting ready to put it all back together, all new weather stripping, bumpers, carpet, door panels, door handles, but most was lost due to the fire, including the grill,
yes i am very lucky i have my mom still,
fire has been declared undetermined

insurance company put mom up in a temporary house for 6 months so hopefully they can get her house torn down and mostly built before she has to come live with me, held up on content coverage and the amount of loss,
in regards to the buick its up in the air at this time so i am just going to move it to my house and cover it up, but i did buy a new father son's project

If you decide to sell it, I would be highly interested.
