This t/a will be the death of me need help bad

What's up guys so I put a used trans in the my t/a 94 lt1 all stock except throttle body it sat for 2 months and now it backfires and sputters on acceleration I need help bad I want to keep it but at this pace just might sell it some one please help

Did you have this problem before you put the trans in? Auto or manual?

Any codes or check engine light? IIRC a 94 is OBD 1

Yes you need a special scanner for that :P

So I have this problem after trans swap only when it gets hot no check engine light and I dont have the scanner for it I havent done any test just threw the towel in for the weekend

I also had to used my old torque converter the one the was in the trans was to big and plug inside the trans was a different color tho294 not yet I have a soft spot for it lol

I never adjusted the the throttle body and its a bbk throttle body but heres an update had the car idling and it died had a extended crank then started drives fine now just need to scan it and figure out the extended crank

Swap back a factory throttle body. Even if it doesn't solve this problem, it will save you headaches later on.
