It's simple. When the first MAF maxes out, the other one will catch the rest of the airflow.

I was thinking more of a fail safe type system where if the first one dies the 2nd one picks it up

On the internet, duh. There is a company putting LS engine in a plane, he said he had to create redundant ECMs to comply with FAA regs
