Need help replacing gas tank straps

I thought it was time to replace my gas tank straps. While I was under car, I noticed, I could get my fingers under the passenger side strap. So I ordered a new set. I don't understand how I would remove the tee bar side of the strap.

Twist em and pull. Should be a slot to remove.

yea, if they are the same as 3rd gen ones, you just rotate the strap about 90 degrees and then the side-tangs will be able to come out through the slot.
