Went to the home depot today, had to pick up (2) 10 foot, 4 inch pvc pipes. I brought along some bungees, thinking they would be sticking out the trunk. To my surprise I was able to close the hatch.

There are a few uses our cars are good for that aren't well known. Surely, space in the hatch is one of them. I remember when I drove a sedan, I would need to use my Camaro to transport my bike until I got a bike rack. Now that everyone has trucks and SUVs, this isn't all that much of a selling point. One thing though is that the large rear glass makes these things great for car audio. If they weren't such rattle cans, they would make great car audio platforms.
