Didnt want to hack the wiring in the car so i got a 5 speed dash and harness. It was part of a grey dash. So i found a black one and pulled it apart to swap out the auto for a manual harness. Took some time to clean out the ducting for the ac/heat as well. Slowly getting there.

Car is going to be great once you are done. Just keep plugging away, the more time you spend getting it right now is that much less time you will have to spend worrying and fixing s*** later.

Just an example photo, but i received my ICT Billet aluminum accessory drive brackets in the mail. this is the routing i will be doing since im not going to notch the kmember for 4thgen AC. I will be using the factory thirdgen ac mounted up high instead.

Looks like you're moving right along, I finally got in touch with Pocket on TGO, he is working on my harness now. I may just say the hell with it and notch my crossmember. I'm not going to be running for a bit anyway. Just a heads up, but if you're going full 84, including the interior, some of the wiring is different, and the gauge arrangement is different.

I initially thought about making the interior period correct, but i easily aquired a tan gta interior to stick with. the only thing that will actually be "84" on the interior will be the recaro seats. Sadly they dont reproduce the 2 line dash pads either.

Yeah Jon, that is like the holy grail, or one of them as far as parts go for the early cars, you'd think they'd produce a few now and then to sate the demand even if they charge 500 a pop for them. I'd replace mine if someone repopped them. Funny how everyone says 82-92 when 82-84; 85-90; 91-92 is a more appropriate breakdown of the third gen run as far as parts go. Don't mean to bust your bubble, but there is a black and gold 84 for sale somewhere down there. Don't recall the details. But the price was off the scale I think.

Ive actually come across at least 10 black and gold 82-84 cars for sale that were decently priced and were hardtops. But I cant do much from the middle of the ocean. Ive been away at work since dec 7th . Thankfully Im going home on the 21st which means I can get the ball rolling again with the car. Im staying committed to the project and not gonna deviate from the plan.

Slowly getting more parts. Scored a great deal on this lightly used exhaust. Will require modification to the body to make it work how I want. Looking forward to hearing it!

Rear seats are finished. Quite pleased with the outcome. I did my best choosing a vinyl close to the original beechwood as possible. Looks just about on the money. Looking forward to getting the fronts finished and all stored away. I want the interior done (but not installed) before i start messing with the body of the car.

Front seats are complete. Quite happy with how they came out. Back in Time Upholstery did a great job. I will be having them do the door panels and interior plastics in febuary.
