instead of running the Plextor and Lite-On, why not just get the drive i got.

cuz im already $700 in debt w/o buying the power supply once i get all of my new **** (my dad said some of it came today) the old stuff is goin straight to ebay!

they come with hp computers there the ones that u can flip the cd/dvd over and burn images and stuff onto the label,i havent tried burning any labels yet since i dont have the lightscribe cds,but its a 40xdvd-rw/cd-rw drive and for some reason i cant get it to burn faster then 4x.

Try a firmware update, and make sure that you have the latest version of the software that you are using to burn. Also make sure that you are using the proper CDs.

That's all I can think of that would cause it to burn slower.

edit: now that i look at justins link it does burn dual layer, at first i was like wtf is DL? then i saw it in the description. thats pretty damn cheap for all of that. only $40??

i think this is gonna be my new PSU http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817194003 im happy to see that its $70 less then stated in CPU magazine

Yup, it's a great burner. I've never had an issue with it, and Garrett has had his longer than I, and he's never had any issues either.

BTW, I'm a Netflix subscriber, and mine gets quite a workout

things im gonna be selling (ill prolly put it on ebay so i can get a decent amount of money):

old PSU 300w
Nvidia GeForce FX 5200
Asus P4C800-e Mobo (once i get the bios reflashed)
Abit IS-7 mobo
Intel P4 3.2ghz
Intel P4 2.4ghz
Transcend 2x256mb RAM (333mhz i think?)
Lite-On Cd Burner
Plextor dvd burner

the drives will most likely be sold after i pay everything off, so i wont be w/o drives for a lil while

the geforce=$35 sound good? i think i bought it for $50
and for the PSU i have no idea, obviously that wont be sold until i get a new one, which i might order this week idk. im thinkin in the area of $50-60 for it cuz it still works fine its just a few years old

edit: i just checked, the PSU is 300w. still want it?

just bought myself the nec drive and the enermax liberty 500w psu

yea i got all of my stuff put in today but still cant use it...stupid linux.... not thinking correctly i brought both of my cd drives home cuz i figured the other on would be here today but its not my new PSU is nice as hell but its kinda loud it has a huge ass 120mm fan on it, but its still awesome
