Ive swapped to a smaller belt now. Did some extended driving and when i return home i checked my meter. 13.38v idling. On the dash it was 1 mark below 13. I know these are not the best guages. I was thinking of installing a digital Meter Flush mounted with the rest of my after market pillar gauges going in to just keep an eye on it.

Got my 3200 FTI stall today. Was Recommended to me by a fellow member on here as well as Tick Performace. Looking forward to to putting it in. I took My car to a Local reputable trans shop and let them drive my car. To me the one-two shift was very hard and i initially thought something was wrong when i was just driving my swap for the first time. The shop thinks the trans was modified. The second owner of the donor vehicle has no clue. I may just leave the trans alone for the time being. I will be looking into a bigger trans cooler with a built in fan though.

Had new springs and steering installed. had to cut the springs cause i forgot the new motor is lighter -_- . 2nd times the charm lol. I had a hard time finding a shop to do the alignment. they denied me after looking at the car. Its good to go now though. One part is a tiny bit out of spec though.

Got my ls1 brake conversion hubs from flynbye. Looked forward to installing these and making some adjustments to pressure going to my swapped rear.

Wow, That sucks.
What caused it to shatter? I'm doing an LS swap into my 88 Trans am and that was one of my concerns. I read the tubular k members don't provide much protection, and that there isn't much clearance with a stock k unless you cut out some of it.

I hit something in the road and it wedged between the road and the pan. The pickup tube bent upwards. Im using the stock kmember. i only have millimeters of clearance. I f you get the chance. notch about 1-2 in out of the kmember at the back for more clearance. will be doing that this summer. I bought another thirdgen to daily in the mean time when i start work on this one again.

Ah ok.
I will be running a holley pan, not the stock f body one. It will clear the stock k member much better and have basically the same ground clearance as the f body one. Its about $325 but I'm selling my '02 oil pan to cover as much of that as possible.
Here's a comparison pic of the pans...

It looks to have orange peel, so wet sand it first, then compound and polish...

I was thinking the same but I only watch body guys work, no true experience here. You could have probably laid the clear a little heavier or "wetter" as this looks "dry" to my inexperienced eyes.

developed a ticking sound over the last two weeks that i thought was the motor. Thanksfully it was just the flexplate. I swapped it out for a thicker street/strip one.

New flexplate is in. Been having a start issue. installed an aftermarket starter and it wont engage. just clicks. if i rotate the crank a little it will start. I shimmed the started with the one provided and its still the same issue. more shimming?

I ended up returning the starter under warranty because of the start issue. SUMMIT sent me a new one. im not gonna use it as i took the oem one to a starter shop and had them replace the housing that broke so all is well now.
I bought a donor 8.8 from a 98 ford mustang GT and took it to ND fabrication in jackson to be built. they will adapt it to my thirdgen axle tubes. Going to run 4thgen 98-02 brakes and stepping up to 3.55 gears.

Spent some time to try and reorganize under the hood. i will be removing the factory coolant overflow jugs along with the washer fluid and relocating them elsewhere. I also welded in some t clamps to permanently route my trans cooler lines.

Did a 4thgen brake conversion on the car and was having issues with the brakes and a soft pedal. Had someone assist me in bleeding and heard a loud POP and saw the mainline going to the rear had ruptured. I honestly consider this a blessing in disguise. I have a brand new stainless line that I had intended to use on my 87 but I will use it here. I will be taking the plates off this car tomorrow. When i get back from work I am pulling the motor and trans and stripping the car bare to prep it for paint.

Pic link is broken.
I'm glad the line popped now though! Ouch.
