people do not by EVO's for the looks.
That is your opinion, not a fact
It is a Mirage with a body kit.
It is based on a lancer and is far from the $15k version.

For the record I was saying nothing bad about f-body's. It just amazes me that unless someone does something with a gm vehicle it is considered stupid. A bunch of narrow minded people if you ask me. There is much more out there, I prefer GM vehicles but when I see something that I like, I wont force myself to hate it because it didnt come from GM.

I totally agree with you..When I posted the video, I thought it was cool as hell what they did and gave them props, just was wondering what others on the board thought.

But what mods have you done then? and how long has it taken you to purchase them. now am i lookign to get a well it took me X amount of years, nah, im sure your gonna say you have no problem purchasing the parts you wants, thats great, as for alot of us on here, it takes us a while to purchase what we want. Im not saying F-bodies are cheap, but compared to how well Evo's and STi's hold their value, their handling capabilities, and their technological advancements on the racing world, I feel they are superior to F-bodies, except for the department of cost for aftermarket performance parts, adn aftermarket availability of the parts, thats where the F-body wins, they've been on the market since 1967, and believe me, there is no shortage of them, so they are cost efficient. I love my Camaro, I do, I put so much time and effort to mold it into what I dreamed of, I want a Third gen, and a 79 Camaro again, but my funds stop me short, so I have to work with what I got. I would love to have an AWD car, that seats 4 in a comfortable manner, and has a nice little turbo'd 4 cylinder.....but I alas, the funds stop me short.
What do I think of the vid. it's thoughtful, definantly different, but needs more R&D into it, a nice AWD system setup and a wider body and fatter shoes would do it some justice.

The interior is not far from the 15k version, as it is all Mirage inside. As for everyone here being a GM fan boy I am not. I will buy any make as long as it performs and looks the part. I know a thing or two about Mitsu's. In fact I will bet I have owned a turbo Mitsubishi as long if not longer than anyone on this board (9 years) and it had the 4G63. Don't assume everyone is a hater because they are not feeling the swap. Maybe they are just not feeling the swap... Like me

Uh...I hope you were being sarcastic as they would be totaly different and outside of having 4 wheels and 4 doors, they have nothing in common...

Agreed. How many times can one do an LS1 in an LS1 car. Its great and all, but I love nothing more then to see GM powertrains in non-GM vehicles.

QFT. I love all makes, im not bias. What 4G63 do you own, and did it have the dreaeded walking crank? I got a 6G72 3000GT, and though its a pain in the ass to work on, one day ill have it back together cause i love the thing.

did i say 4th gens...i said fbody....i bought this car for the performance not the looks. imo yes 4th gens do look like sebrings with an attitude problem. but the styling of the fbody is what gets me. wedge shape aerodynamic design, double headlights, open grille...its a sleek car but my LEAST FAV fbody. still enjoy the styling or i wouldnt have owned it.
the mirage was the car that was basically rebadged as a base model lancer. same thing. and yeah there is a big difference between the base model lancer and the evo.....too bad everything they took out is the stuff you paid for.
waste of an ls motor imo. couldve gave it away to someone with an lt1.

I had a 1st gen DSM and it did not have crank walk. The 2nd Gen's were more prone to it. It was a great car but the build quality from Mitsu is not the best. There is a reason you never see a 1st gen on the road any more...

What do you mean? I stated a fact and unlike some people had reasoning behind my grossly stupid opinions. Seems ok to me.

evo's are nasty by themselves, awd and a good turbo and they can walk most bolt on ls1's but i guess this will help even the race up
