Track officials not like your car or running in the rain? This ain't NASCAR, we don't have to run and hide because some water decided to fall from the sky.
Get your car ready to go and come on safe tires and we will rock it in any weather.

Are we going to get lap times or be able to pass on this? My impression is mostly for instructional purposes?

Passing will be courtesty/waive by only. This isn't a competition and we aren't going out there to risk anyone's car.
I don't think there are going to be any official lap times or tracking. There are systems available for you to track your laps and such from in the car if you are interested.

or, since we will be in different groups and there will be spectators, we could arrange for stopwatches or similar timing equipment for grudge purposes

Yeah that was my friend thinks this is but I was pretty sure it was more for fun and less for grudges His car is supposed to be "better" than mine He wants to see some numbers so there is something definitive

Just be warned that if anyone starts getting stupid out there or acting competitive, they will be bounced. This is to be a safe and fun day above all else.

ubg's buddy Monteque J Monibags says he'll be able to fill any empty spots w/ guys from his Porsche club. Monte is a really nice guy and has tons o' track experience, so he'd be a good guy to have along.

Been signed up on the board for about a year and half but this is actually my first post - count me in as a definite if you don't mind a GTO on the track with you. I'm in.

The track day is open to all members, even the ones with family cars j/k
We don't mind, we have an N/A Solstice, Solstice GXP, Buick T-Type, a few Corvettes, and who knows what else planing to show up. Even if we don't all have a perfect day on the track it will be a hell of a car show

Sure thing, it is for all members. Be sure to pass along word to your crew. Members get first dibs on spots, so if they wanna be sure to get in they should get signed up.
Looking forward to seeing you there.
We are going to see how fast we can get the final details hammered out and start the registration process. This is going to be a hell of a day. I can't wait.
