please tell me thats incorrect
it'll run on 89 w/o any problems...and yes 3.15 a gallon is correct...it woulda been around 3.30/gal for 93
So that's why you called, lol.

am actually going to start looking for a nice bike to ride to work (bicycle, not motorcycle) if gas prices keep going up. luckily I'm only about 5 or 6 miles from where I work, so it wouldnt be too bad.
"only about 5 or 6 miles".... dude, 5 or 6 miles on a bike quite the distance, before having to put in a day of work (I speak from experience, used to ride 2 miles on a bike before I put in an 8 hour day)... the ride home is even worse.

j0n, where the hell are you buying your gas from????? The Mobil at the end of my street has 93 for $2.89/gal. If you're buying 89 for $3.15/gal, you're going to the wrong station, buddy.

this **** is plain out of control.

they can justify any way they want, but it all boils down to them being greedy ****s. i don't buy the "more demand" argument, either. if they can sell to their countrymen for .05/gal, then they don't have to be charging us $3/gal. period.

They're now saying to expect prices to go up to $4 a gallon very soon thanks to the hurricane. There's no way they can justify these prices when you look at their continued record profits. The gov't needs to step in and stop this price gouging. I'm soooo glad my daily driver is getting 20 mpg right now. The old DD(454SS pickup) got around 11 mpg.

It just cost me $42 to fill the Hawk @ 3.02/gal. This sux!!!!!!!!! I wonder how much it would cost to order 55 gallon drums of race gas and leave them in my garage. Looks like a call to Sonoco is in the very near future.

Capitalism at it's finest. Don't expect prices to go down, as long as those fat bitches are making money, **** the public is how it works. We'll be paying European prices soon.......$5/gal. Pretty soon I'll be working just to afford my commute.

I saw 3.29 on my way to work in new brunswick this morning, I about **** a brick. Then I found a station for 2.79 and figured I wouldnt find anything lower any time soon, so filled it up. Already called home and said I'm not coming home from school unless I have to.. hopefully it'll go 'back down' to 2.55 or so again soon... what the hell.

Sooooo.... anybody want to guess what the price of gas guzzlers are going to drop down too? I'm guess H2 for a candy bar and everything Dodge/Chrysler offers with a Hemi will be down to around a burger and soft drink.
This is a sad sad day that I pay more for a gallon of gas than a gallon of milk. Now if only I could get my car to run off of milk...

I was literally in shock driving to work this morning. Last night, I filled up on Base for $2.49 for 87 (driving the 99 Celica). This morning on the way to work, what do I see?? Mongans @ Williamstown and Erial Roads: $2.99; Shell @ 534 and 73N: $2.79; Multitudes of other places through Marlton/Mt. Laurel/Pemberton: $2.79-2.99 a gallon, for REGULAR!!!!

If supply and demand is driving up prices, then why in the hell are the oil companies posting record profits like they've been for the past year or so??? Supply and demand my nut.

Absolutely NOTHING justifies a 30 cent hike in a single day. Nothing. I understand that the hurricane is putting strains on the system now, but there's absolutely no way that it can be that much of an effect that fast.

I seriously think it's time for the government to step in, say "piss off" to OPEC, and start to regulate the petroleum industy here in the states.

Social Networks:

On my way home from work at two stations across the street from each other:

Exxon: Mobil:

$2.89 $2.79
$3.05 $2.89
$3.15 $2.95

There is also a Citgo right there that mimic's the prices of the Exxon. I love Shocky's Mobil

From camarov6:

Quote:
A local gas station here put a picture of an arm in the price area on regular, a leg on special, and "Your first born child" on premium.

And this was before the 30 cent increase overnight.

Last night - 2.59
Today - 2.87

Some of it is blatant gouging, and unless I'm mistaken that was illegal.....
