phshhh, I just dont want to waste the money on the 305 then have it blow up, like it will lol.

I checked the money situation.

I got about $700 In cash right now, plus an easy 500 if I return everything

Im only about 300 away from having my car runing with a 350.

Thanks for the input guys, this is a tough call. I know I want to learn more about engines so Im gonna ask lethal if I can help him assemble the motor, and then tear down my motor, and maybe even practice porting my old heads and intake,

If this falls through Ill get the 305 runing but I will still return everything..and get a moped so I can go places.

It's nice to have the money to get this 350 that Dave is going to build you, however that will leave you with pretty much nothing in the form of savings. So what happens the first time you drive the car with that nice 350 in it, and you tear up the rear? More money. Same with the trans & converter. And then the suspension. And then the subframe connectors.

The list goes on and on. Like Jeff (RadialTireKing) said, having a fast car isn't about having a powerful engine. It's about having a complete package. Until you can afford the package, don't worry about the motor....

While that might be true, I wouldnt care if anything happened to the trans because I have a waranty on it, and then I will actually know it was rebuilt, The rear wouldnt be a problem because thats number one on my christmas list.

The suspension is what Im worried about, But like I told dave, the car barely sees the road, and is never really beaten on.

I gotta do what will be better in the long run, even if it causes a few problems, I would also feel more comfortable with it being driven more, and farther. So If I can return my parts and get my headers back from j0n I will get the engine, If I cant return the parts teh engine will have to wait.
