Trade Mariano? Um, no. And I just don't see how this is girardi's fault. Explain.

Giambino is gone, as is Pavano. If they can unload Damon that woud be nice too. I need to see who else's contract is up. Matsui? Abreu's contact is up too.

I believe Matsui has two more years. Maybe one. I know when he first came over it was three years, then he resigned for another three or four I think. What year did he come over? 2003?

Pasada being MIA played a big part in this season. He appears to be more of a leader than Mr Jeter. The kind that kicks a Cano in the ass a few times.

they will be cutting over 80 million this off season with the experation of some bad contracts........sounds like they will have some money laying around for sabathia or some other top tier pitchers.

my guess for next years position players.......

1st...posada
2nd...cano
3rd...arod
short...jeter
left...resign nady
center...melky
right...one of those young guys
dh....matsui

rotation.
1. sabathia
2. wang
3. hughes
4.pettite
5.rasner

joba back in the pen, kennedy in the pen.

heres a list of the players to be free agents at the end of the 08 season....some good names for the yanks to spend that 80+mil on

Carl Crawford jumps off that list if the Rays don't pick up the option. Move Melk to RF. Ben Sheets too, although he has an injury history.

To bad what has happened to Rocco Baldelli. He's got some kind of nerve disease. He had a lot of promise.

you think they'll get rid of Moose? I'd say hold on to Moose, he's doing good this year. I think they should also consider holding on to Abreu. He's at the top for the team for average, on base percentage, and RBIs. I've been saying get rid of Damon for a while. Not that he's a bad player, but he's injury prone, not very consistent this year, and not as fast as he used to be. The only problem is that Melky is a lot worse. I'd say pick up that dude who was the Twins center fielder, and I STILL cant remember his name lol

Moose is currently 39. I'd bring him back. You always need a crafty veteran starter. Key, Cone, etc....

if he wants to play, and they can get him for a good price, he would be great.....might want to go out on a year like this though, shooting for 20 wins

i thought moose was done last year. hell they even took him out of the rotation but this year he's the only one doing any good. why do the yanks always get players that are at the end of theirs careers instead of a good young players. nady should def stay, all their young guns from their farm teams are really sucking this year hughes, kennedy. rasner. maybe they need this crappy year to get their stuff together. they are a team of dinosaurs right now.

become a met fan now alamantia says. sorry i only bleed yankee pinstripes. you could offer me FREE season tickets with a seat on the bench and a limo ride to the games and i still would'nt be a met fan.

IMO Moose learned to pitch this year in relation to his changing skills. Like Key did, Cone did, Jamie Moyer did. I am a bigger Moose fan now than ever before.

and last year we wanted to kill him once your velocity slows down you have to learn to be a finesse pitcher and i think moose is doing a good job of that.
