death metal... ehh... garbage to me... lyrics are a waste of time.... meaningless music in my eyes... but again its all a mater of opinion... if you actually believe some of the crap you listen to in death/black metal... they your a screwed up individual... COB is the closest ill get the death metal... its not really death metal though.... o and deathklock.... just cause metalpocolypse is the ****!

in no way shape or form does children of bodom even come close to being death metal or black metal. theyre more of an industrial style band. think of them as static-styx

i play esp too... well jsut LTD for now... im not good enough to get a real esp yet... but someday hopfully... only been playen for just short of 2 years... those lynch guitars are sweet... but really expensive!.... i agree too music these days just isnt the same... i would challenge anybody these days (besides veteran bands that are still around) to write a song as good lyrics and music such as songs bye bands like the eagles, deep purple, iron maiden, judas preist, megadeth, old metallica, cream, and countless others those are just a few off the top of my head... i challenge any modern band to write music that has the staying power that those and others like them have.... i cant see one band today having that staying power... really the only modern band that i feel is really doing their own thing is coheed and cambria... they have a strong following... they might be remembered... o yea F-gunge music.... the 90's killed music buiried it 6 feet under and never looked back.... stupid 90's!

i guess you have no clue who styx is then. seems your the fool. oh yeah and coheed and cambria? really?? you must really like dragonforce while your at it.

there was actually a few really good bands to come from the 90s. grunge was mainstream in the 90s...while a lot of bands were really tearing it up. biohazard/danzig/death/morbid angel/napalm death....if you look at the 90s and grunge is the first thing you can think of musically then i feel sorry for you.

then again this is coming from someone who just said coheed and cambria is one of the bands to be remembered from this era.....

the next big band = IWABO

first of let me say... your taste in music from what you called great 90's bands is horrible... and of coarse i know who styx is ... but how is that relevant to COB... it doesnt make sense... like at all man.... i look at grunge because grunge is what killed "real" metal... o yea dragonforce sucks... but if you talk **** about coheed... you obvously dont know good music... they are a great band and every freaken member of that band can play amazingly and live they sound just as good there istn alot of modern bands out like that that can write amazing music, i know people like you... you just listen to the heviest crap you can find for status to say hey look at me and wha ti listen too... its so heavy... that band you just said is the next biggest band first off will never make it big for reason beyond your and my POV... its just not marketable.... and the guys in the band can play... the band sounded good... but the vocalist needs to jump off a bridge... shes was horrible... all that screaming makes absolutly no sense... thats not music... that kind of music is just noise... and good way to waste a good guitarist and drummer.... and bassist if you ask me... i really would like you to explaint he styx thing to me though... i dont understand how the band who wrote mr roboto is anywhere near relevant to COB.... you make no sense... btw styx is a great band...

Slayer, Megadeth, Pantera, Hatebreed. Thrash metal for the most part.
