Lost 2 family members so far from this crap. One in Hackensack and one in Toms river.
My assistant engineer was sent home yesterday for having a nasty cough and looking like death warmed over. Today he wakes up with a fever and he is trying to get tested. Now myself and the other engineer are mildly freaking out.

 | Not good, and sorry for you losses.

Do you know the process of testing? like how to go about being eligible

Don't go to a hospital unless you absolutely need to.

Sorry for your losses, townsend. God bless you. Two family members, God that's awful.
As far as testing, unfortunately the false negative rate is at least 30%.

I have 2 friends whom I believe definitely had (or have) it- both tested negative. It's a bizarre and hellish virus.

And the gov says to expect to stay home until June or July. There's no basis for that right now. We've been home for 30 days already and if it's still spreading now, it will be spreading after 45 days, 60 days, 90 days. You can't stop it without a vaccine (which is 12-18 months away) so why destroy the economy any more than we've already done. The test results are delayed 14 days (which is worthless) so what looks like a peak now happened 2 weeks ago. Plus, if we can expand the herd immunity now, the next round in the fall won't be as bad. By keeping people shut in it will just make the next round more severe. And the data is so tainted at this point you can't draw any decent conclusions from it. People will go crazy if they're stuck in the house for another 45 days and that might cause more damage than the virus.

			thanks guys
my assistant was tested last night in wayne, told him 4-7 days for results, so in the meantime office was fully cleaned by a specialty company. Now we wait.

as for testing, he had to do a video visit first, then have the doc give him a script to get tested (passaic county), looks like the way a majority of counties are handling it currently. similiar situation in warren county where im at.

as for false negatives, a few tenants of the buildings have had employees that that happened to.

im more worried about when everything goes back to normalcy and the scumbags start coming out again. thats when the rest of us will get it

People will go crazy if they're stuck in the house for another 45 days and that might cause more damage than the virus. | The basis for staying home and social distancing until June of July is the lack of PPE, ventilators, hospital beds and staff. No one is denying that the test results are delayed and it is just another symptom of being unprepared. NY is adding presumptive positive deaths to their death total because the testing system is completely overwhelmed and people are dead before their test results are back.

I think people have already gone crazy based on the number of people being caught intentionally spitting, coughing and saying they have the virus to grocery workers and police officers. I've already had one friend with mental health issues reach out to me. When the weather gets into the 90's we are going to see an increase in suicides and homicides like never before. If you’re thinking about suicide, are worried about a friend or loved one, or would like emotional support call 1-800-273-8255.

More worried of the fall 2020 resurgence. Gonna be a lousy time to be in the hospital.

You might be able to pick up a nice one at a bankruptcy auction when Carnival bellies up.
