I am just curious, they were adamant that 8 was a good almost magic number. Wondering if there was truth behind that.

Oddly enough, I do 8's on a lot of stuff. Closer to the power building numbers without going too far.

6 reps is enough to activate your muscle fibers. depends what you are going for really...some people do insane weight for just 3 reps to build up their strength.

and of course...i heard the #1 myth in working out that this kid SWEARS to. he goes: (and i quote) "i do 300 reps of curls with a 5 pound dumbell, im sculpting my biceps". i got a good laugh out of it..

Which fibers? A or B (Type I or Type II)?

The century workout is a bitch, and that works. So does the 5x5. As long as you are moving weight you will be doing something. Whether or not it's the RIGHT thing is a different story.

Why cant one lift before a blood test? I've been told not to do it after, but not before.

Its simple, the more reps will be more towards making the muscle more define, the less reps with more wieght on it, increase mass.

i started lifting again a month and a half ago and slowly i will be back up to my normal wieghts and all i been using is superrrr dumpppp haha

yeah im trying to think if its something i should take kindly on...i think a little change in your body is expected when supplementing something like protein. i just dont know if the change is minor or major with me. i dont go crazy on them either..have one a day and one protein bar every other day.

How long did you stop your supplements for before going for the test?

i didnt stop my supplements...i use a whey protein every morning for my morning shake...and use an amino acid supplement post workout.

however i did fast for 12 hours before going for the test, so there was nothing in my system like a usual blood test

It takes longer than 12 hours for some of this stuff to clear. And by taking that amino acid supplement you were introducing the very enzymes they test for into your body artificially.

Do what you wish- but I'd go no sup for 3 weeks or so and then go for another test.
