First run was sloppy but with lots of passing. They make you run a helmet with a visor. Mine doesn't have one. They kept saying visors down so I just brushed my hand over the helmet face like I was putting it down. I got past two guys doing that but the last guy got me. The first part of the vid caught that lol.
Didn't record the second race for some reason but this is the third. My wife was in front at the start so I didn't want to pass her like an ass.
damn watching those vids, I wish I went.... There needs to be another real kart place built somewhere closer to here in North Jersey...Not talking about the one on rt 17.... Last time I really went karting, me and a college buddy went head to head, plenty of contact, he was blocking, he was the leader I ran him down, and with like 2 laps to go I saw a gap, went for it we hit, he spun, I had to counter and correct like mad. We both wound up further down the order, but it was a real laugh afterwards. I think I wound up 3rd, he was further back.
Don't they run karts at NJMSP? Karting track next to the main course I've heard. We should run those next.
I hear alot about a place called Pole Position up in the Jersey City area! Is there a Kart place in around the New Brunswick area? That would be perfect for everyone I think.

I had a significant weight disadvantage so the only way to go quick was to be smooth and not upset the kart. The kart would skid hard if I made any big movements with the wheel. I would love to try the gas powered shift karts.
Yea I upset the cart alot by going into the turns too fast. But it seemed like the best line for turn 1 was to stay wider then come in tight right before turn 2 and 3.
Shifter carts would be awesome. Im not sure if NJMP is clutch driven or shift. Still would be awesome to set up a club day out there.
