Damn, it got yanked just as I finished reading page 3. It was already locked. I guess someone made a good point or something.

But then there is this one: http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=454356

there are now threads in a lot of forums about it and the ban has been backed off to some restricted status that basically allows you to read the site.
for turning someone in you also get a reward, 2 hatch stickers. glory days gang, they make $18k a month and will offer you a pair of $0.25 stickers if you snitch on people for treating their members fair. what a great f'ing deal that is

As the age old saying goes: What's the difference between a 500hp Supra and 700hp Supra? About 2 tenths.

I have been on LS1tech a few times to browse there for sale section and a few other things. I am not really a big fan of the forum it seems to political almost. The site just has a different feel then other forums i belong to. I don't really know why but i'm not a big fan of LS1tech and very rarely visit there.

I'm sure it costs a decent amount of $$ per month/year to run that site due to the amount of traffic it sees. HOWEVER, seeing how much $$ they have coming in you'd figure that site wouldn't run slow as **** and have the type of bandwidth bottlenecks it has(try going on during peak times, it could take upwards of 15-20 seconds for a page to load).

actually the small banners on the right are $175/mo so your talking closer to $1900/year if you prepay for one year...i think someone said they have 127 sponsors so you do the math...that doesnt include all the people paying $350/mo for the large rotating banner at the top...nor does it include t-shirt/hat/underwear/bra/whatever sales they do on the side through their store. I said in one of the treads they have to be pulling in close to or more then 1/2 mil a year for just the one site not to mention the other ones they have their hands in.

admins are paid, mods are not...though mods can in some cases get discounts from the sponsors.
