bubba you are one lucky dude wow i can't even imagine.
i hear being liquored up makes you more flexible in a crash so you kind of go with the forces rather than fight them and break your bones. damn.

its hard for some to understand the connection we make the the vehicle, but were all car guys and I thing we all understand. Its like a child, you brought shaped it and formed it to be what it is. I hurts to lose that. that car took damn good care of me it deserves a proper "burial" so to speak.
at this point in time NOTHING IS FOR SALE, to me that would be grossly disrespectful to ask at this time. Come the time there will be a post. NO PMs!!!!!!!!

Good luck with the healing process.
Any plans to rebuild? I have a front bumper with honeycombs for a third gen if you want it.

Wow Bubba! So happy to hear your alright and alive. Bruises/Broken bones/Lacerations can heal, but THANK GOD it didnt turn out to be worse than that. I can relate - I'm going to post of the pictures of what happened to me and my car. They had me on crutches for weeks. But glad to hear your alright. I saw it on myspace and I just had to come check it out over here. But again, really lucky.

yeah bubba billy meant the same thing as you, the uni-body is meant to buckle at certain points throughout the car to absorb as much as possible, its common to see a f-body or mustang with roof and rear floor ripples after a front end hit

yeah, the way the unibody is constructed, all of the forces from a crash go around the driver's compartment, not into or through it. the hinges on the hood are made to break away so instead of coming through the windshield, it goes over it. same thing with the fenders and even the motor mounts are supposed to break away so the motor drops to the ground and goes under the car. after an accident like this, you can see all of the crumple zones - those that are engineered to give way instead of the forces reaching the driver or passenger. i can show you on a car where they are, before it's been in an accident and then you can compare them to a car that's been smashed.
i don't know how either of you survived smashing your heads around. hell, i don't even know how the motor survived. luck - divine intervention - being resilient - being drunk - whatever it was that saved your life happened for a reason. now, think about that for a minute. if your number was up, you wouldn't be here.

the car did its job, the doors are still straight and the front end absorbed all of it. yes, you are lucky to be alive, but really you should be thankful to the engineers that designed the car to keep you that way.

so wait, you smashed a roundabout in teh clubs? I thought you went off the road or something. idk man, that doesnt look like 70 to me. my friend josh took down 3 trees bigger then them a few years back in his ranger, and he was only doing 55 ( fell asleep at the wheel about a 1/4 of a mile from his house...) you must of been hauling, but not no 70 through there. I remember crashing my Camaro, I was doing about 45-50 around a 120 degree bend about... well.... 1/8 mile form my house, and no tread, a weeks worth of rain, and poor judgement around the turn brought the rear around, I over corrected, brought the car around the other way, corrected again, brought the car straight, but by this time I was in the mud, sliding, and I couldnt control my car. I hit the tree that happen to be sticking out past the other ones, otherwise Id of been fine, and hit it doing about 10-15, yetteh airbags didnt deploy, I was fine but this was the end result, oh and by the way, this is the first time I am publicly posting these:

I just dont see it though dude, how could you be passed out in the car for over an hour, its the clubs, your telling me noone heard a whole bunch of smashing, that noone went through that develpment for over and hour?idk about an hour man, im sure you passed out, but over there they call the police when a mouse farts. Oh and I found oyur belt incase your wondering....its near your heater box lol. its ashame cause oyu did put alot of work recently in to the car, but thats life. all im gonna say is aside from oyur insurance and such, it could of been worse, the damn tree could of fallen on your roof. happen to my friend josh, its a wonder how he survived his crash. he said he woke up about 2 seconds before he hit the trees. when I say there was no front end, it looked like a cab over semi!!! but like I said that was around 55mph. so, if i were oyu, next car shouod be a gas sipper my $0.02.
