There is a 1971 (don't think its a 72) Trans Am White with a Blue Stripe that is a common sight at a transmission shop called Byram Transmission on 206 in Sussex County . It has to be a local car. I was wondering if he was on the boards over at njfboa. License Plate is a memorable one. It says FASMOFO. I was wondering if he was among those who show up at those nats. If the car is not known I will drop him a line if I see him. (the car at least LOL.) Might be a customer car but its there too often.....

Its a '72. it was his( shop owner) brother's car. Not sure if he acquired it or not. last time i spoke with him was at least 6-7 years ago and has recently purchased it and needed some help with the A/C system. I have been meaning to go over there and take some shots for when I redo my 72.

Sweet. I might need some transmission work on the T5 in my car, I think the spring for the reverse pivot came off. My car sometimes slots right into reverse several times in a row then it decides it doesn't want to several times in a row. Dad had the car there for something as well. Don't know what it was.
Last time I saw the 72 there was over the past summer sometime. I've been at school so I don't see it as often but at times it seemed to be there all the time. I take it you are in the immediate area?

Why dont you go to Andover Transmission, I had work done there before. They run a good professional shop, clean, do a lot of high end cars.
I had a clutch done at Byram transmission a cpl years ago, first, the shop is tight and a mess. They had an old pick up truck sitting over my car leaking crap! Second when I got the car back the driver fender was all scratched up. I would never take my car back there.

I'm not too far from them. I'm in Roxbury, but head up 206 frequently for random things.
As far as the shop and work are concerned, I can't say if its good or bad. never been inside or had work done there. I just met the fellow outside and the 72 was in the lot.

I just recalled another Trans Am that was in North Jersey, but its been years since I've seen it. Maybe my freshman year in HS or middle school since I last saw it. The reason why I remember it is because of what it was. On rt. 46 not too far from the rt. ten junction I recall I kept on seeing a 1969 Trans Am. Yes I knew what they looked like back then and thats why its stuck in my head.
Anyway, 1969 Trans Am in the Mt. Arlington, Ledgewood area. It could be a clone but from what I recall it looked like a real one. Anyone know where that car is or who has it or if anyones seen it? As I said its been a long time for all I know it could have been a clone or it is long gone. I saw it fairly frequently too and it was in decent shape.

I had a trans done about 4 years ago by byram trans and they did a great job, very nice guys that are willing to work with you, but I have to agree. The shop is very tight. I had the tranny built in my SS by andover trans actually, about year and a half ago and they did an awesome job. They found out I was a marine and gave me a killer price, plus the owner is good friends with family members. I even requested they parked my car out back or something so it didnt get messed with at night and they locked it inside their shop until they could work on it. Good group of guys there that really know their stuff

No clone on the '69. Its the real deal. regular 400/ auto It goes to the owners daughter, if not to the grave. Its one of those 'will not sell' cars unfortunately probable like the '57 caddy behind the shop as well.
enRo - Landing. In a house.

damn...as much as I want a stick......if I can get him to sell it..............I might go for that automatic......I know wistful thinking on my part. I will probably never sell the 84, if you read my introduction story on the intro boards you will see why. What is the model of the caddy? I haven't seen the car lately so I wasn't sure where it was, does it still show at that shop every once in a while?

I think the caddy is a 2 door. that would be a deville I think. don't think its and EL D. both cars are always at the shop. the 69 moves forward and backward about 10 feet every once in a while if you watch closely. the caddy is semi hidden. once you know its there you'll see it, but it is easy to miss. I have heard he has turned down some $$erious coin for the 69. My friend has tried to get for at least 15 yrs. he stops in every once in a while just to bug the owner.
