To all who may be interested, I put up a cruise thread in the north jersey section. I don't mind if people join up from other areas.
Due to the location of Island, a cruise can be done, but for example, some would just go straight down 46. Whereas I can take the fun roads from my house. If people don't mind a five mile detour off of 80 to the north to meet by my place, the drive down would be well worth it.
Or, another way we could do it is to meet at the Shell Station just north of 80 on Exit 19. Couple of ways to get there from there that are fun. I'm thinking 517, 519, 611, 613, and 615 as ways of getting there. I'll be going down 517 to Allamuchy then take 613 bypassing Hackettstown. You wind up just down the road from Island Road that way.

Have we agreed upon a spot to meet at the track?
Seems like there will be some people I don't know.
I'll be in the purple challenger srt8

Not sure. Ill probably just park my truck and trailer in a open spot somewhere in the pits, or on the grass on the entry road.

That'll be great, we can all meet there. Wait, what does it look like?
My preparations are done, so the car's all ready. Working a 24 hour shift tomorrow, get home Saturday morning. Should be interesting.
I'll be the guy in the purple Z28 with the silver NJFBOA sticker in the rear window.

What happened to the car show? It was a big success when we had it a couple of years ago. I was looking forward to going to this one since Island is so close to my house.

They're saying 50/50 chance. I'd just keep it on schedule til at least tomorrow afternoon before postponing. Plenty of times they've called for rain and it either misses us or nothing happens. Showers won't be enough to wash the place out.

This is just a meet like the last few years. This is not the old nats with organized racing and car show.

Mark, while there aren't any trophies, there will still be plenty of very nice cars and great car folk to spend a couple hours around.
I hope to see your car out there

Mike, since no one has really said anything, is this gonna be a case of spot/follow the F bodies when we get there? Or is there a specific location? As I suspected due to location a cruise from the north may not have enough people. I may come down with a friend who just joined the forum. I'll have the bird, so if I beat people there, just look for a Maroon GTA peeling paintjob, and you found a forum member LOL.

I'd think that area between the stands and the old snack stand where we set up for the nats would be a good place. I'm sure once you get there though you'll all be able to see us
Does anyone have an EZ Up they can bring for us?
