Advertising is advertising. These types of things can be what makes one shop better than another (if either chose to do something like that). Owning a gutted, mule C5 would be only valuable in a part out situation IMO. I understand your point but I think we all know this won't go anywhere.

Although there is no monetary gain for having the quickest C5, fbody, etc etc with bolt ons, There is a great feeling of accomplishment and well being when breaking multiple records It was a personal goal of mine and I achieved it.
Unfortunately there will always be non believers out there. People who claim to be friends with GM engineers, studied physics in college, or raced for 25 years. Now there are some problems which arise from that- 1.)Lack of experience with a certain make/model. They haven't put the time or effort into getting the most out of their car or one like mine. When you're sleeping, I'm practicing my driving or finding ways to go faster. Problem 1 leads to problem 2- People often place a "cap" on certain make/model's times. So as soon as someone breaks that record, those same people can't handle the facts and automatically call BS..
Now answer me this- If multiple 4th gen LS1 stock internal Fbodies have been down into the 10.60s-10.80s & have trapped 122-124mph, then what's so hard to believe about my stock internal C5 achieving those kinds of numbers? I rest my case

Biggest thing so many fail to account for is the air here in NJ. All of our tracks are very close to sea level and for almost half the year you end up with pretty good odds of actually seeing negative DA's.
I went through it years ago with my 91 RS, little G went through it with his V6 car............there are those who just fail to believe anyone can accomplish more than them and their "expert" friends.

Technically, air in a mineshaft would be hotter.

Well we anticipated that you would decline the offer. And we all know why! Divulging the "secret list of mods" would render the meaningless hollow record invalid.
Congratulations, you've successfully duped enough people into a loyal following of supporters.
There are those like my friend and I who know that a stock head/cam LS1 in a vehicle over 3000 lbs will not yield the trap speeds you post.
To those who read this, consider yourself informed.
It's a free country, and you can choose to believe someone who helped design and built the beloved C5 or someone who didn't.

Simple solution:
Go to Atco, watch run, pull heads/cam after. Put something on the line to make it worth both parties' time.
Or, you know, just keep bantering on the internet. It's all the same to me.

Just because your buddy designed the cup holders on the c5 doesn t make him THE authority on the limits of what can be done. And i wouldnt brag too much on being buddies with any car engineer..........cause if u had anny real experiance actually workin on cars......you would have some choice words for your cup holder designing guru

I'm wondering if the mods/Admin would be so kind as to check the IP address or email of the troll 8SecC5 and compare it to everyone's screen
name to determine who this is. I find it hard to believe that someone with that SN could be this dumb in relation to the hp/performance gains from aftermarket parts.
Ask any performance shop for their cam specs or tuning information and see what answer you get. Most of them won't tell you because of the research and development they have invested into designing them.
Ron has been one of my close trusted friends for years and I'll be damned if I'm going to sit here and listen to some no name troll drag his name and reputation through the mud because he fails to grasp the effect aftermarket performance parts have on a real life car that is gasp.....raced on a real life track. Of course your mysterious GM engineer friend wouldn't know anything about the aftermarket of a car he "supposedly" helped design 15 years ago which makes his level of expertise on this subject exactly worthless at best.
Until you drop this "mythical test mule C5" off at Ron's house with a pile of parts from this so called nameless GM engineer you can shut your mouth.

Thank you guys. I appreciate you all standing up for me
8secC5- I'm very truly flattered by the fact that you joined this F-body site just to mess with me. In the 7 years that I've been a member here on NJFBOA, You would be the first one who's ever done something like this. So, from the bottom of my heart, thank you

Had my people look into the matter
The OP's name-
Al Saporito aka "SAPS" from LS1tech aka the same guy who was calling BS in my other thread http://ls1tech.com/forums/11-second-...converter.html . User profile http://ls1tech.com/forums/member.php?u=128167
Now I see why you have a personal vendetta against me. Your heads/cam car is a full second slower than my BOLT ON car and you can't figure out why Which leads me to my next question- Why would you make a username 8SecC5 when your car is only going 11.8 ?? White is a nice color for your car, but silver is faster
For a cancer survivor, you're awfully bitter toward people, especially me. I know if I was given a second chance to live like yourself, I'd be a whole helluva lot nice to people.
Funny story, I was going to study to be a PMP, but being unemployed allows me the free time to make people like you, hate on nice guys like me
P.S. I know I'm 5 days late, but happy belated 38th birthday to ya
