i was having good luck w/ the MT DR Pro its a 28" and have no issues in the fender well if you want to go the DR route, im not sure about the 28" bias ply tho since they grow about an inch, I know Rob (barneymobile) had to cut his fenders to get his 28s to fit

I fit a 28x11.5 ET Drag in mine. Had to massage the inner fenders a lot and remove the bump stops. I am stock height so I didn't have to roll the fenders. I would definitely get an adj panhard bar and adj lca's if you don't have them already to get the rear centered both across the car and in the center of the wheel well. That will make it less painful when it comes time to make them fit...

I put about 25 milies on it driving around on the street and it felt fine. No noticeable loss of power, idled fine, and no smoke. I only pulled the head because the leak down tester held no pressure whatsoever...I thought I was using the tool wrong haha

Pop out the piston/rod, replace piston, and toss it back together

Ouch. Running 10s on 7 cylinders is pretty good. If you read around, the #7 failure seems to be prevalent....at least from what the internet says. They even fail in the top left corner too. If the cylinder wall looks ok, replace the piston and get it back together.

It definitely needs sleeved. Fixing the block might be a fun winter project but partout is looking more likely.

I would love to put together a 402, but this will be the end of my fbody money pit. Ive been wanting to get into a C5 as a better starting platform and this was my breaking point. The tear down for the partout plus all the other stuff Ive been hoarding will happen sometime this weekend, stay tuned if you're looking for some giddy up parts.

I saw this coming. With all the FRC pictures you've been posting, it was only a matter of time.
