broke my poly trans mount t56
Launching at the track tonight broke my prothane poly trans mount. snapped the stud.
it was less than a year old. are these known to fail ?
Is there a better one i can run or should I just stock up on a few of them to swap out quick when they go ?
thanks.

That's impressive. How hard did it launch? I haven't broken my poly but then again, my car doesn't leave the line that hard. If only the stud snapped I'd say you have some major flex happening somewhere else in the driveline/chassis.

When I went to swap out my trans crossmember years back, the mount had wiggled itself loose and was about to fall off. Car was never properly launched either.

It was the downward pointing stud? May have been overtightened or faulty.

yes it was. after thinking about it it probably was the shock from the rear thru the torque arm leaving at 6k off the line.
