Shrugging of the winter blah
So the nice weather is back and its about time to shine up the old girl.
What do you guys do to detail yours cars. Im planning on giving it a good wash and then hitting it the whole car with claybar and then waxing it. Im thinking about using some kind of rubbing compound also. But ive never used it. Any other recommendations?

If you use rubbing compound, make sure to not let it sit to long on the paint. It will take it right off. I wash, clay bar, then wash again, then wax, then detail spray.

wash, clay bar, take care of any scuffs/scratches, wax, then go over all the weather stripping and rubber/plastic exterior pieces

What do you use on your weatherstripping?
I didn't get to clay bar it, but last weekend I washed and quick waxed her. Wash, clay bar, wash, then wax seems to be the norm.

I don't have any personal experience but maroman88 ran a detailing business on the side I believe, and he's in Northeast Jersey kinda sorta near you.

Armor all works too, but that Zymol stuff works even better, and I haven't even used a noticeable amount in over 2 years

im drawing a blank on what i currently have been using for the weather stripping... any of the products that are for plastic rubber and vinyl should do it, they just need to be kept moisturized
