So about that mishap...
We got a code 22. throttle position sensor volatge too low.
on the way to the shop where my dad hooked it up to the computer it acted all sorts of terrible, cutting out and what have you, just like it had last night. but at the shop my dad unplugged the sensor after he had it on the computer, i geuss he cleaned it a bit, and plugged it back in. on the way home it was fine driving the car. so there's a possibility that it may have just been corroded and now that it's cleaned off it's ok. however, we're not going to take the chance of driving it up route one tonight
unless
when phil gets back, he knows where we have another TPS around here from one of our other motors, so i could use it for tonight. otherwise, no fiero to hooters. I'll have a new TPS coming tomorrow morning. List price 100$ and then through Berrodin, $48.
