how about a real car cruise??
Nothing too long or major but I know when I used to own a Mazda MX-5 (Trust me, it wasn't any ordinary Miata.. i belonged to some miata car forums and they used to always have car cruises. They would map out this cruise on some very fun and twisty roads that lasted anywhere from 1 hour to several hours, stop somewhere in between, find a great little Rt 66 type restaurant and then head back.
I live up in Sussex county and from here to NY, there are some great roads, very scenic this time of year. I'd love to map something out and just go for a nice spirited ride. Now I know I'm a lot older then a lot of you guys on here, but this is a pretty fun morning/afternoon activity where you get to enjoy your machines the way they are supposed to be driven. Now usually you want to meet up pretty early so there is less cars on the road on a Saturday or Sunday. As of now Saturdays work for me, but that can be changing soon when I get my new schedule.
Just want to see who would really be interested in doing this.. Let me know and I'll put something together.

I'd be game, but my guess is we'll have to do it next season since it's so late in the season.

No talking about a real drive, not down a parkway, but on nice side windy roads to the middle of nowhere, in god's country! I want scenic country, not the type of scenic drives you get going down a parkway.. No offense to the Wall Township cruise...just love it a lot more up here and the roads and drive is much better in my opinion.

How about a scenic cruise to a massive car show in Macungie, PA on Oct. 12? Or the weekend of Oct 3-5 I'm free.

I don't know where Macgungie, Pa is, but if there are some good backroads to drive to it, I'd be interested, the whole point is to stay off highways as much as possible and to really enjoy drivign the car...I hate just driving the car on highways, thats why i love the backroads by my house...just have to watch out for all the damn deer!

Nothing stopping you from pulling out a map and taking the scenic route. Go down the west side of the state, take county highways all the way there.

Obviously this will take a little time and no I don't think we have to wait until next year, hell Fall is the best time to drive if you ask me..

I used to take a drive up Rt. 80 to Marshalls Creek PA, Rt. 209 and take that up to where 206 connects with it in Milford PA, almost up to upstate NY. Follow 206 down through Sussex County to Rt. 94 through warren county back to Rt 80. A few hour drive, nice views, and little traffic if you get to Rt. 209 before 9 AM.
