Smile Autox at Meadowlands 4/14

Going to my first Autox event this weekend. Can't wait to see how the car really handles. I just added the convertible strut tower brace to the car. I hope that adds a little stiffness to the front end and helps keep the front end level through the turns.

Wish me luck!

Thanks!!

Is anyone else from the group going to this event? When I went to watch these events at the meadowlands last year, I saw other camaro's running the course.

I believe it's the Motorsports north east club.
My friend runs these autox with them all the time with his BMW M3.

I am going to try to setup my camera for video. If it doesn't work out my buddy has a go pro I can use when he's not running the course. Last time I was there I think they got about 4-6 runs in. Depends on the amount of cars and weather I suppose.

I am excited to run the camaro through the cones!

Wow what a great time at autox yesterday. I got stuck in the group with the corvettes, Lamborghini and all the modified/unlimited.
We all got 8 runs each through the course. It's amazing how hard you have to push the car just to get close to a good time.. These guys beat there cars to get good times. Lots of nice cars and cool mods and exotics. I learned alot about the car yesterday and was surprised every time I pushed it harder through the course.. It may be a heavy boat compared to most of the other cars but I am very happy with my first time running autox.

I can't wait for the next event!!

sounds like you had agood time. Autocross is all about seat time, as you get better driving you will drop boat loads of time. You should cheack out the pro solo up atthe meadowlands this week end its pretty cool.

If you go again, I may join you with the daily driver. Been meaning to get to an AutoX at giants stadium. The GTA may appear at one later this summer and that is a big maybe at the moment.

The next event for autox at the meadowlands is on 4/28. My friend with the BMW is trying to get me to go. I will post next week if I will be attending. It would be nice not being the only camaro or firebird there

Alright, My schedule for work got swapped around so I work the lunch shift. I'd rather work the evening shift but was willing to work the day shift. So we will see how many I get to. As of now any events on Sunday regardless of what they are with two exceptions at the moment are out. Only thing that may change that is if I ask way ahead of time, or if I find a decent job so I have the weekends off. If there are any AutoX events on Saturdays, I may show up with my Focus ST daily driver. Won't beat on it too hard but I may screw around with the ESC settings. THat is a good place to mess around with the settings without really getting into trouble.

Autox Sunday 4/28 at the MetLife Stadium lot J

I am registered for this Sundays autox 4/28 at the meadowlands. Hope to see some of you there. It costs 60 bucks and last week we all got 8 runs. You work the track for half the day, you run the track the other half.

If I am at the auto cross I'll be there on Saturdays when the SCCA runs it. Only time I can do it unless I swap shifts with the guy at work. And for now I'll just keep working during the day. Either you'll see one of my third gens there, or more likely you'll see my daily driver; a Focus ST.
