18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G ED II AF-S DX VR Zoom NIKKOR Lens

70-300mm f/4.5-5.6G IF-ED AF-S VR Zoom NIKKOR Lens

Software Suite CD-ROM
and a 2.0 gig card

I'm not to familiar with Nikon cameras, but certainly pick up a Polarized lens filter for both the lenses. It eliminates sun flairs, and a whole other list of cool features. It will also protect your glass from smudges & scratches. I carry 2 with me for my good lens, a cheap Best Buy brand & an expensive Hoya filter.

I would certainly invest in a sturdy tri-pod as well. Thats key for photography in low light situations. Other then that as a beginner you are pretty well equipped. Maybe purchase a second battery as a back up & definitely pick up a portable lens cleaning kit.

a nice bag is a plus. i have a tamrac expedition 3. they have some real nice sized bags as well. you wouldn't need a multi-media reader cuz the camera will transfer from itself via usb cable in most cases. a spare battery is a plus. don't leave it on the charger, kills the life fast.
