longshot but any one have a crotch rocket i can borrow for a day ?

i know this is a longshot but my parents asked me if i could possibly find a crotch rocket that we could borrow for a day or two because the nearest place to rent one is florida the reason for this is my moron little brother wants to buy a 07 gsxr and he has never been on a crotch rocket before just my cruiser. so parents want to make him sure he knows what he is getting into and that he actualy does want one after sitting on and riding one.

if hes never ridden a sportbike before, DONT let him get a new gixxer.
too much, too soon. trust me.

my friend is selling an '06 ninja 250, yes small, but a great beginner bike, hes asking 3k obo, that way once hes got the hang of that bike, then he can consider moving up.

I'll second that- crotch rockets are nassty as hell, i rode my buddies 2002 R6 and it was souped up a bit, low 10s in the 1/4 mile. i didnt even fully get into it, and i was skeeird. I'll stick with 150mph in the T/A, it feels safer.

the 250ninja for sale has only like 5 miles on it, and some scratches...

^That there was a kid who wanted a sportbike, never rode before, paid over 4k for the bike new, dropped it, and got scared, now he doesnt want to ride again...so hes selling it and taking a big loss

trust me i wish i could talk some common sense into my little brother if i could then he would probably buy it. as far as wrecking my little brother did that the first time he rode my bike but atleast he got back on and kept riding ( just wish he didnt leave the repairs up to me )

on a side note did you ever get pictures of that door ?

sorry but even the zx-6r sitting outside is no way a starter bike, a new gsxr will just bite him hard when he comes off.....good luck with persuading him otherwise. just wish these new r1's would deliver a little faster been waiting months for call back

a very stupid move tell mom he will get hurt and your against it no matter what - GSXRs are very wild bikes to drive and one city block from a stop with luck he can be going 100 MPH and it does not stop as fast as it goes -- tell him to buy a used 600 something - and if he after the summer still wants a new suzzz than go for it not before > that is a dumb move -- jz

my friend sold his cavalier to buy a gsx-r 600 now hes in a wheel chair for the rest of his life, dont let him get a new bike a 250 would be more than enough, thats just my 2 cents

bike dealer wont let you test drive the bike before buying it?..find a private person just selling a bike and pretend you are interested in buying it and jsut take it for a test drive...wish him good luck those bikes are nice...

I dont think its wise for any beginner to start out on a crotch rocket, unless its one of them 250cc ones, but you must be kidding about him taking his first ride on someone elses? My son in law thought he could ride, he bought a brand new R-1 at Stumpys, he didnt make it out of the parking lot without dumping it, i remember when we were young ,my brother bought a brand new Kawasaki 750 crotch rocket, he made it all the way home before he dumped it in front of the house wheelying. Anybody that lends you a bike is going to want to kill you, and your brother if it gets dumped. He is better off buying a cheap used one, and fixing whatever he breaks learning.
