Sorry forgot to write about the car. My name is Jason and this is my 1991 Z28 that I purchased from the original owner in 1998 with 26,000 miles. It is a 305 5speed with factory alunimum driveshaft and alunimum rear drum brakes. Since I have owned the car I installed a Hurst shifter, Mufflex cat back exhaust, a MSD 6al, coil, 8.5 wires and other bolt on mods. The best 1/4 mile time was a 14.6 @ 97mph on street tires and a 3.08 limited slip rear. When the 305 gets tired I have a 1969 DZ302 in my garage that I would like to install an EFI setup on. Let me know what you guys think of the car.
Thanks,Jason

Nice! I really like the 91-92 Z28's. Do you know where that DZ302 came from you have sitting in the garage? Is there a partial VIN stamped on it either up on the deck or down by the oil filter flange? It would be interesting to see if the car it came from is still alive somewhere.

Thanks eveyone! Since I bought a house last year I hope I can get my SLP headers installed that I bought 11 years ago that are still in the box they came in. The car stays at my parents house in their garage.

The motor was in a 1965 Chevelle that was built in the late 70's early 80's. It was a track car at the time in Bergen county. The car was well known at the time. I was to young to know the car but my brother and his friends knew the car. I also know the woman who is the sister of the owner of the Chevelle. The car was sold to a kid after the owner past away and the kid blew the motor so he sold it to someone I knew.

Hey Jay, the car looks great as always! Glad you finally posted some pics up of her. I've seen it a few times in person, it's amazingly clean.

Car looks super clean. Can only imagine how many heads would turn when they see/hear that clean of a 3rd gen, with a DZ in a few years!

Thanks everyone! For the 302 I was thinking of doing a TPIS mini ram with AFR heads, but that is in the future. I would like to finish my project car and get it on the road for the summer and just enjoy the 91 Z28. I know it is only a 305, but I think it ran a respectfull number in the 1/4 mile. I will post pictures of the project car in that section soon...

This car is amazing. The twin of your car is in the parking garage at work, its hardtop though.
