Monsoon won't play CD - gives some error message

hi - so my monsoon sounds good enough but won't play CD's.
THere is an error displayed but off hand I don't recall what it says exactly.
Is this common? can i fix?

ALso after about an hour in the car the display gets pixelated. any ideas?

Very common, or you might only get a track or two to play then error.
