security light on...quick question

when i bought my camaro the security light was on. the seller said out of nowhere while parked and off the car alarm would go off. reading up on it there is a sensor on the passenger side rear wheel well that triggers this if it gets moisture in there. i pulled the sensor and the alarm doesn’t go off anymore out of nowhere which is what i want. i could care less if then factory alarm didn’t trigger.

does anybody know if that would set off the security light? i’m reading it could be a more serious issue related to vats that may not be able to start my car at all someday. i’m paranoid.

i haven’t tried a different sensor yet to see if it reads the sensor and turns the light off. does anyone have an extra one laying around i could buy?

I might have one in the basement. If you still have my number, pester me about this & I'll look for you. If I have it, I'll post it out your way for you to experiment with.

I would tune vats out of the computer and bypass on the car side.
