NJ Motorsports Possible Opportunity in April
Quote:
http://www.njmotorsportspark.com/
We have the chance to get this track for a weekend in April. I need to know how many people would be willing to commit to coming. Probably a one day, Saturday deal. Road course and Autocrossing. I am guessing $175-$200 entry fee. Possibly carting on Friday for those that wanted to play and spend a little extra.
Now is the time to post up and step up if you are serious about wanting to play close to home. As you all know, If I say we are serious about an event, I do my part to make it happen. We are serious, have sponsor commitments and they will be watching this thread. Other sponsors are certainly welcomed and that would determine the final price for participants to play.
Post up, let me hear your thoughts. I don't have a large window of time here, so, are you IN or OUT?

Would anyone be seriously interested in this? No tire kickers please.
This is not a club event or related to the club in any way.

Hyundai built your car in a matter of days, I should hope your body shop can fix it in 5 months.

I will keep everyone in the loop and when registration is opening, probably a link to protouring. There has been plenty of interest over there about it. We will limit the first year to the first 60 registrants so be ready to sign up when registration goes up. These events usually sell out within 2 or 3 days.
I feel the location is great for a lot of North East guys and will be fun times and the chance to really flog your car.
Thanks Scott, stay tuned!

Update. Friday cruise will likely head towards the beach/Cape May.

Tentatively in. Will have to see how ambitious I am over Spring Break to get the car worthy for such abuse.

Remember, this is a no refund event, we will run rain or shine. If you buy a spot and then can not make it, it is up to you to sell your spot. I simply don't have the time to be the broker. As all my events go, selling a spot has never been a problem, we always have a waiting list. This event is open to the first 60 PAID spots. You must go to my paypal, and pay or pm me for my address if you prefer sending check or money order. Your spot is not reserved until payment.
Thanks guys, this will be a huge event and we are looking forward to it, see everyone there.

I got a "Thank You for Registering" email. Did you get one of those?

Indeed I did.
Anyone know of or have any E30 BMW rims or race take offs? T/A wont be done in time so I'm taking the shop 'beater'. Something I tinker with from time to time.

Got the, "Thank you for registering" email but was a bit concerned that it also included a reminder about payment and a secured reservation. I paid via a secured credit card, so I can prove payment if necessary. Not sure why they didn't send a acknowledgement of receipt of payment or a reservation number. This is a common practice with several of the groups that I've run with in the past. If anyone gets a reservation confirmation, please post the details. Thanks.

Your TA wheels should work depending on the motor in the car. I believe the 4 bangers were 4 lug and the 6s were 5. The 5 lugs are 5x120 which is close enough if you center them. To center them, it is best to wrap the hub with electrical tape so that the hub fits snuggly. Actually, come to think of it, I'm not sure if the hub will clear the BMW hub, as I know they are larger, but it is worth a try.
I love e30s. I want a e30 dedicated track car so bad.

This will probably become a rack car in time. it is an 1987 325is. Feels so light and nimble compared to the T/A's (78 & 74). I have noticed, BMW parts make F - body parts look like pocket change. Cam was over 400!! 250 gets me cam and lifters for the old ponchos.
currently has 4 lug rims. If it was 5 lug, I would throw a set of snowflakes or enkie crosslace rims I have laying around. That hub thing has me thinking. I believe the German hubs are larger than the US hubs, thus why I US rims my not be able to fit. I'll ask around some local shops.

I'm interested but I need to save up a little more before I can even think about registering for this one (I'd like to attend all three days). So we'll see how it goes.
