Good runs there man.. Dont worry about your R/T.. If you can knock down your 60' then thats were it counts. Every Tenth off your 60' is 2 tenths off your ET.. Cut a 1.8 and you should be close to a 11 second pass..

Nice trap speed, good for mid 11's no doubt. Get a pair of track wheels with a drag radial and you'll be in much better shape.

Damn.. They come with 245's from the factory? I think My 96 came with 275's all around and My Roomates 01 GT came with 275's from the factory. Definatly get some meatier tires on there.
I aint gonna be running my POS at the track untill I get a real rear end.

I hit 11.89 @ 118mph on a 1.83 60' with girly 245 street tires back in the trans am days with bolt ons only
try going on a tuesday night. they prep the track. itll help, especially on your 60'-330' splits where you're spinning 2nd and 3rd

mid 11s? on a 1.45 60' perhaps it could be done with a stalled automatic that weighs less lol. Lets be realistic here for a moment. It's a 6spd car. getting down into the 60' range of 1.69 or better will be a difficult task. and even then, with that mph i can see it just breaking into the 11s. definately not a mid 11 sec car "without a doubt" LOL. Not ripping on the car or driver, Just telling you what I know from experience. I went 11.94 @ 115.68 with my 99z28 on a 1.77 60' shifting my ass off. a 1.60 60' (which wouldve been possible with slicks since i had 4.10 gears) wouldve only got me to a 11.60 at best
moral of this story- don't listen to adam lol

Sorry for your pain but I am so happy I didn't get a new 5.0! Isn't this the second time you blew the motor?

got the car with 90 miles. 1st day i had the car i put a pypes catback exhuast on it. intake/tuner was on back order. i got that 3 weeks into having the car. was put in around 1500 miles. at 2727.5 the engine sized due to for shorting me 2 qaurts of oil. And the car itself ate oil too. They got the engine with 1.5 quarts of oil. The cam bearings were fused togeather lol they did a full replacement. Fresh new engine. i put the intake/tuner back on at 1500 miles again. around 1800 miles i got a knock. they fixed it and then i went to atco. ran 8 passes. after my burnout on the 9th pass my engine light came on. i did a slow pass and went to the parking lot and got the tuner out. code came up for missfire on cyl8. the car was running smooth so i took drove it home. the next day i started it up and it ran like ass. so monday i took it to my ford dealer. they said my valves clashed togeather due to the tune and put the valve into the piston. BTW on the 2nd engine i burned a total of 2.5 quarts of oil with 3100 miles.
my reason i didnt get a vette at first is cause of the insurence it was higher than the mustang. but now i'm looking at some Z06's

I told people the tunes were causing problems but wf doesn't know ****..
So that was 2 motors..what was the third breakage?
And you have good dealer. When I searched the issue Ford was telling the owners with mods to f off..

This is why you fix your Fox Body and run that at the track and dont run your daily driver mustang..

Yes its being built this winter. but only 8 passes on a car thats supposed to be built to race is a load of **** lol
I researched it. cyl #8 is a **** one. its the furthest away from the coolent and has less jackets than all the others. Its the weakest cylinder out of them all and is the fastest to go. This is going to be another one of those great ford moments. When we had our 6.4 truck the turbos were blowing out. They were all going back to the dealers and it was bone stock. it was a work truck. Our dealer is good frineds with us. they come over all the time and they showed us the form they were supposed to tell the costomers why it blew up. the first excuse was that they didnt change their air filter like they should and it blew up. the other was that oil level was to high and blew it out. Its just going to be another one of those things. Ford doesnt want to eat it so they'll use every excuse to get out of it.
Everytime i sent it back it was returned to stock.
And i didnt blow 2 engines.. i'm on the second right now. its not blown up.
