AC blowing fuse.
2000 Chevy Tracker, 110K miles:
AC will run for anywhere from 1 minute to 30 minutes, then the fuse blows (25 amp fuse)
Replaced the relay, also pressure is good at 40 PSI. and temp out the vent is about 45 degrees.
Switch on dash seems fine, light come on when activated and stays on, I see constent power to the relay from the switch.
Any ideas what could be wrong that is causing this? Could it be one of the sensors or something in the compressor clutch?

Geez Sliderule, there are so many electrical parts now. 4wd or 2wd? 1.6 or 2.0?

2000 4x4 2.0L. I bet the HVAC is all the same. GFL. And it still might be the comp.

which relay did you replace? looks like it could be the fan going out and drawing too much amperage.

i must be reading it wrong. i only see in the 2nd diagram the 25 amp "a/c" fuse which both the clutch and fan relays seem to feed through.
i didn't see any TSB's

oh the condenser fan. I was looking at the blower fan. If that is the fuse going I'd check the fan for a short

4WD 2.0 motor.
One thing I didn't take notice of is if the fan turns on when the compressor activates. The actual blower motor is fine and continues to run. When the fuse blows the compressor shuts off (and of course then the AC blows warm air).
I replaced the AC compressor relay. Guess I need to check the fan relay as well.

i remember when i was at the dealer, same car had the same prob, replace the heater control and it was fine after that, but you would want to check everything before you decide to go that route.

Thanks, I read that the switch is a major job to replace, have to take most of the dash apart!
