Engine Install.
hey as you guys may or may not know i got a 95z roller a few months ago. after rebuilding the motor and doing some body work im finaly gunna put the motor in. the motor is going to be installed from the bottem with the car up on the lift, so i was wondering if i should put the headers on the motor and then slide it under as one? of just put them on after its on? also anything else i should do? any tips?

Isn't it for sale on CL?
And I would try to sneak the headers in while the engine is going up, leave em unbolted from the heads but keep em close.

what headers? long tubes or shorties? you may have clearance issues with long tubes, i was able to drop mine out with shorties no problem. i would completely assembly the motor and trans then install as a unit on the k-member with the trans crossmember bolted up too and supported by a jack or stands. take your time and be mindful of your wiring harnesses and all fluid lines.

Just leave the radiator/fans out, bolt everything up, trans, front of engine ect and drop the body on! Only real pain is the brake lines. You shouldn't have any issue with the headers. Dropped the engine out the bottom with Jethot LTs and Pace Lts with no issues.

And how would you leave it in if the rack is attached to the K-member?
