Engine swap going in a new direction
so as some of members here may know, my friend and old roommate has a 2010 evo X. He did a bunch of work over the years. Unfortunately last week on rt 78, someone rear ended him and totalled the car. He bought it back knowing I part out cars.
After checking out the car and thinking about it, we've decided to swap the turbo 4 cyl into my 88 GTA. i know there will be haters but oh well.
I need to know how i would go about getting(most likely having custom made) a bellhousing that'll bolt to an ls1 t56. I saw on the tv show GEARS where they bolted a porsche trans to an ls7 so it should be possible.
any leads?

Putting the Getrag transaxle on a SBC/BBC or LSx is really pretty common at this point. Mating a Japanese engine to an American trans, I would think, is not so common.
Most likely you'd have to get a special adapter that will bolt your LS T56 bell to the Evo engine, not a special bellhousing. The Getrag bell is bolted to an adapter and that is bolted to the LSx

Oh, and for the record... the GTA will be getting an LS1 / T56.
I have the drivetrain already, just waiting to buy the swap parts and a heads/cam package.
