How much should i really get paid?

My Grandmother is selling her house up in springfield. And me and my uncle were hired to clean the house fully out. Now were pretty much done with cleaning it out (Monday is the last day) the house. And i agreed to $500 Cash Money my uncles getting her old 2000 Cadillac catira. Do you think i got the ***** end of the deal? $500 cash sounded good before i did the work. But now that i did it it felt way more then $500. I cleaned and brought up a Range a washer and dryer up 30 steps of stairs. To me i think i got screwed over big but i wanted to see what you guys think about it.

Thanks
-Wes

It's $500 cash under the table and you're helping family....

What do YOU think it's worth?(it doesn't matter what we think, you did the work)

Poor granny has to go back to work now to pay you

$500 is fair IMO, especially since she offered it to you. Look at it this way, you helped an older family member and got paid a nice chunk of change for it...it's a win/win.

And there was black mold every where. Also its a 2 bedroom one bath house. And all those bedrooms had to be cleaned out. It was a pretty Fed up house before we cleaned it out.

Ok, honestly, how long did you work for? Sitting, eating, watching tv doesn't really count. What you describe sounds like a typical clean up job, pays about 8 to 12 bucks an hour. I doubt you worked between 40 and 60 hours on this house, plus you didn't pay any taxes, you won twice on this deal, imo.

No Tv no eating and no sitting. I say 20 hours of work and were not done so add 8 hours to that for Monday. So 28 hours at $12.00 a hour it would be $336.00 so yea i guess i'm gettin the right amount. Yea your right man.

Thanks

If she hands you money after your done like thanks so much for helping heres something, that's different but it sounds like you guys drew up a contract for helping our your grand ma. but all people are different i guess. judging by the hours worked you made just under $18/hour. thats not bad money at all for doing grunt work like that so id say you made out good.

catera is just an opel with a caddy badge. shouldve done it for free....but since your getting paid take the 500 and be happy with it. your uncle is getting the better deal because he's not a young kid that will just blow through the cash. 500 bucks for cleaning out a basement is a good deal. stop complaining...you probably make half that a week at your pool boy job

1. its family getting paid anything more than free is a great deal, but what truly counts is knowing in your heart you helped your grandmother out.

2. $500 is alot of money

3. Pat your self on the back you went up 30 stairs, if you just did this recently you got to do it in nice weather its not like theres 2 feet of snow outside with blowing snow hitting your face

4. your grandmother still alive, at the end of the day you got to put a smile on her face.
