2006 Car Show Classes+Special Awards
Voting
we will be using the same voting method as in '05. each attendee of the event will receive a ballot on the way in the gate. each car show participant will be given a numbered card to fill out and place on their dash board on their way is as well.
the only significant change we are making is that we will have scheduled times for rags down and the final collection of voting ballots posted prior to the event and lsited on a gate card that will be in the goodie bags to be given away at the gate.
Primary Classes
We will be using the same basic format that we used for the '05 nats. We will however expand the classes to have seperate voting for camaro and firebird with in each generation.
so the major classes are:
1st gen camaro
1st gen Firebird
2nd gen camaro
2nd gen firebird
3rd gen camaro
3rd gen firebird
4th gen camaro
4th gen firebird
Best of Show
best of show voting will be seperated on the ballot sheet this year so that each voter can pick out their personal favorite from the field.
Special Awards
we received a lot of great feedback about different special awrds to consider.we are going to try to give out as many awards as possible so we will include as many catagories as we can fit on the ballot.
Best Camaro
Best Firebird
Best Engine/Engien Compartment
Best Wheels
Best Paint/Body
Best Interior
Best In Car Entertainment
Best Chrome
Best Conversion/Best Engineered
Best Display/Presentation
Prizes and Awards
we will be giving out plaques as our basic prize in each catagory again. other prizes and awards will be added to the list as we find sponsorship. as we lock in sponsors for the car show we will be making announcements and changing the titles of the class/awards to reflect the sponsor.
we have not determined how the parking situation will be handled for the show field yet. we would definately like to follow up on the suggestion of parking each generation together.
If anyone needs more information or has any questions you cna shoot me a PM through this site, email me at EastCoastNats@NJFBOA.org , or hit me up on AIM at NJSPDER
-thanks

the best showing by a club idea is cool. could get interesting seeing how that turns out. with so many members belonging to multiple clubs/sites everyone woudl basically have to choose sides.

i have to talk to the track about it. we will see what things look like and decide in the next few weeks if it will happen.
i like the idea a lot, it is just a matter of space and time being available to let it happen.

trust me, if I could get the stang in there, you would all lose the "barely driveable" award.

I'll bring the pony emblem off the fender in and enter just that into the "barely driveable" category and still win. 8)
