Question, since I saw your original post after it was deleted:
What is the maximum speed on your speedometer?

OK, just checking, as the 115 speedos had a low fuel cutoff at high speeds.
Any trouble codes?

Could be a ton of different odds and ends.
When was the last time you did a full tune up? Opti cap/rotor is a wear item

Yeah I'd start with your basics like plugs, wires, fuel filter, etc. You could be losing fuel pressure under high load. I hooked up a fuel pressure gauge, snuck it under the hood to the windshield, and drove under the conditions I felt the problem. Found the fuel pressure was dropping off due to a bad pump.

well at least its fixed now.. out of sight out of mind who is "they" and why wouldn't you replace the EGR, just because you clear a code doesn't mean the problem goes away. It just simply means that the computer is reset and will throw a code again because the problem still exists.

Well the thing is i was on my way back down the shore and really had no time. The guy at sts said he'd clear the code.and not to worry untill it came back up again. So if it persists than I'll have it replaced
