Stupid 4L60E trans question...

Im pretty sure 94-97 4L60E's for 5.7s are all compatable between those years. My friend says that his 95 Camaro can only use a 95 4L60-e, but Ive never heard of this. Anybody got any insight on this?

As far as I know you are right, they are the same accross the board. A 4L60E is always a 4L60E and the only thing that may change is programming in the vehicle PCM that controls it.

I could be wrong of course...lol

I don't know about fbodies but, caprice/impala are different through the years. At the very least the plug is changed.
