Another forum?
Now that change has come around, how bouts that computer forum? Seriously I think it would get used a lot more than the restoration section. Could be modded by the people who are more tech savvy

You want to have a computer forum on a car site?

Why not? There is a lounge and a basement and a multimedia and a restoration forum. Cars DO have computers in them and people are always askin about them and how to fix them. It is a logical next step

Isn't this a car forum?
It would be cool I suppose.

People are coming from all over to BS about BS and there is little contribution to the tech forums (relative terms) and I was told conflicting things about the "spirit of the club" i.e. F-body or car related. People are asking for help HERE for other issues, so it is not really a car forum anymore. I am thinking about the people asking for help. If there was a computer help form I may be able to help more or give my opinion more. I dont go into the tech areas all that much because I have little to contribute in them. I am on the other hand computer knowledgeable and can contribute there.
I dont always have time to look through the posts in the Lounge area and some times I see something pass that I could have helped with.

Yea but you are referring to home computers aren't you? If so then I think it makes no sense.
The lounge is where basically all general run of the mill talk goes on. The basement is for power members, and the multimedia and a restoration sections actually apply to cars...
I would say just keep your general computer questions in the Lounge, if they are car related like PCM tuning or such then they would be posted in Engine/Power/Tuning section.

I would say if you are that desperate to help with peoples computer problems... another computer support website might interest you more for that.

Why not like a "hobby" section, not just for PC help but a section more serious than the lounge but for off topic hobby help etc.

I would be ok with a computer/gaming forum. Nastyz has something like that and it seems to work well.

I tend to lean towards these ideas. A bit broader.

I'd rather a craigs list/ebay forum. Maybe one you can't reply to.

When I see a carb sticking out of the carbon fiber hood, I'll think about a computer section... DEAL?
Otherwise, I vote no computer section.
